People who'd always had a family to count on and a place to belong couldn't truly understand the draw of that little whisper that said ‘

Couldn’t help thinking that pain was the body's warning system. Things hurt because they were supposed to.

the first half of the book I was just confused with all of the names and that family tree was sooooo messed up, but the second half? AMAZING,, I wasn’t really expecting that plot twist😱. Jennifer’s thinking and writing is pretty impeccable

YA crime/mysteries hold such a special place in my heart

a fun read that is filled with a number of twists! truly enjoyed the second one more, though i hope they delved deeper in sawyer’s crave for having a family. the reveals were soooo addicting and unexpected!! i couldn’t stop reading. 

Goodness this book was a rollercoaster. So this is definitely unlike what I have read but was so much fun. I was almost to a point where I needed to pull out a piece of paper and write it out because there was so much happening. There were a lot of twists and turns and honestly I was getting whiplash. I enjoyed this one more than the first but this little duet is a lot of fun and is unique and really enjoyed it.

These books were wild; whether that is a good or a bad thing I’m not sure. Sawyer Taft is swept into a world of lake houses and white dresses when her grandmother tracked her down and offered her $500,000 to come and live as a debutante for nine months. What I did enjoy about these books was the friendships that Sawyer had with Lily, Campbell, and Sadie Grace. I wish we got to see more of them doing fun things, instead of sleuthing. 

Is it possible for a book to have too many twists? Wow these books were very addicting it also took a lot of brain power to keep up with it because instead of having one major reveal it had 10! What I really disliked was the fact that there would be a reveal and then later on in the novel there is something would happen or Sawyer would find out new information that undos the previous reveal. It’s also very hard to keep track of who knows what; it’s a poorly paced web.

Do I recommend these books? I recommend this book in the specific case that you’re looking for a quick read, or an addictive read. These books should definitely be read within a short span because there are so many little details that you were going to have to remember and I think the experience reading this book would be diminished if it was spread out over a long period of time.

This book was so awesome. I def enjoyed the second book in this series more then book one. I thought the female friendships and dynamics were more engaging them book 1 and the mystery easily captured my attention and shocked me. I normally can predict books easily but this book really surprised me and I am now dying to re-read this series to pick up on the plot. I really did like the characters paths through this book. The mystery and how it was crafted was a series highlight and I loved the ending of this book and would def read more by this author in this future and hope for more books set in this world.

It's all fun and games until the prospective White Gloves find a skull floating in the dark water at the base of the cliff. Sawyer can't leave alone the possibility that this skull might belong to someone who is important in the story of her past.
Deadly Little Scandals continues the story of Little White Lies into an explosion of secrets, lies, and mystery. The characters are so well developed, especially Sawyer, that we feel their inner turmoil as they find out more and more about their parents and their history. The jumps between past and present are a little hard to follow in the beginning as the reader is getting the parents' stories when they were teenagers, "The White Glove" stories of the past few weeks, and Sawyer's story as she seems to have been drugged and left in a hole, but overall, this story is a twisty mystery with lots of clues interwoven into the story of Sawyer who is determined to find the family that she has always wanted. A very good, well-written young adult novel.
