I didn't enjoy the plot of Longmire #2 as much as #1, but I'm really digging the character development in this series. Can't wait to read more – I think I'll always have a Longmire around.

I've listened to several of the Walt Longmire novels so far, in a pretty jumbled order. The order doesn't seem to matter much, TBH. But when you know some things that happen later in the series, it sometimes puts a slightly different spin on things that you see happen in earlier volumes.

For whatever reason, I didn't like this one quite as well as some others. Maybe I've had too much exposure to Walt & crew. (I've watched the Netflix series too.) 

The plot is fairly convoluted here, with repercussions of old abuse echoing up from the last century. I kept losing track of who was affected by what, who was kin to whom, and what some of the shady motivations were.

It was ok, not outstanding. The narrator, George Guidall, was a little less clear than he often is. Not sure why.
