If you're a fan of devney's single parent + second chance romances, then you're in for a treat with this new book of hers! Cherry on top is how this is a sports romance, too! Tbh one can never go wrong with how Devney manages to pull your heartstrings with characters who have so much history together. Time may have passed, yet the sparks are still there! As a reader, you get hooked on how these characters will restore their relationships until they reach their HEA! Ford and Millie had been best friends who drifted apart, but the stars have aligned for these two to reunite! When there's so much love shared between two people, you just can't help but root for them! 🩷

While at times, it had hints of a slow burn, trying to get to a place where they could be friends again, Ford was in no way patient. He knew he wanted Millie, and he knew he needed to act on it.

Millie had my heart from the very beginning. She's such a wonderful sweetheart. I felt her hesitancy over Ford, but my girl put on her big girl panties on and tackled on the coach. Truly, their connection was beautiful. Add to that the cute moments of Millie with Joey, Ford's daughter, and it enhanced what they had ten-fold.

 is a beautiful start to what I'm sure will be a great series! The side characters have me eager for their story! (Also, can we get a novella on Rush and Faye? Because I desperately need it!)
