Like the title says this book is the litterary version of the animated movie. I really wanted to see it but for many reasons wasn't able to, so reading the comic was a good idea for having a taste of it.

I really loved the style, like for many disney and pixar movie. It is cute and colorful, perfect to make you smile. I also liked this fantasy world full of magical creatures that became "lazy" and chose to use technology, like us human, instead of magic. The pet dragon of the Lightfoots is just the cutest, acts like a dogs with the "perks" of a dragon. The overall story is also very cute, the Lightfoot's brothers are trying to get just one more day with their dead dad. Turning all this into a quest with dangers and most of all a coming of age for both brothers. It's lovely to read and I am excited to watch the animated movie more than ever. But I must say the only flaw of this book is that because it is a comic they took a lot of shortcuts, it doesn't ruin the book but the reader notice it.
