One word: whoa!

I adored this book with every fiber of my being. I cried, I laughed, and I didn't want to put this down (I read it between lunch breaks at work and rides home when it was my dad's week to drive). This touched my heart in a way that a lot of books don't. Cancer sucks, it makes things hard. It changes people in ways that make it really difficult. My grandmother passed away two years ago because of cancer and I understood a lot of Jesse's feelings. It's terrifying and heartbreaking and you'll never understand why. I loved Vicks with her firey personality and the way she seemed so strong- and yet was secretly insecure when it came to her boyfriend, Brady (fun fact, I had a crush on a guy named Brady for years, so kudos for the name). She reminded me quite a bit of someone I know. And Mel, sweet Mel wit her embarrassment over her money and her house and her own insecurities. I felt in tune with each of the girls and loved them.

I almost wish I could experience it- for the first time- again.
