I found them on sale and just thought, why the heck not. I didn’t really have any expectations going into this book, I didn’t even read the synopsis until I was about 50 pages in. This book hooked me from the first few pages. It starts with Andrew dreaming about the night of the horrible murder next door. The book alternates between Andrew’s past and present, and in doing so we get a very vivid picture. I loved the way everything was described so vividly, without over saturating you with little details. I completely pictured the scenery and wished I could own a house somewhere like it. I found Andrew and Eden to be very compelling characters. I did suspect why Eden acted the way she did before the attack and who the shooter was that fateful night, but even with that, I wanted to keep reading and find out the details of the secrets she has kept all of her life. Overall, I really enjoyed this book and could not put it down until I was done. Great read!
