the way that this series has me rooting for neither of the protagonists because they are just awful characters that do awful shit -especially to each other- but at the same time i want them to end up together??? make it make sense. this sequel was just plain bleak and fucked up, even more so than the first one and i have no idea how the author managed to do that. so many scenes do feel gratuitous tho, which didn't sit right with me, but i mean at this point after all the twisted things happening in this book am i even surprised the author went there? nope. this series is peak problematiqué and it left me with no idea as to how to feel about the H after what he did to the h in 'that' one scene. onto the last one to see how all the mystery unravels.
