The Edge of the Water was great! 

I love this series. Eventually I'll have to read some of Elizabeth George's adult mystery novels, not just her YA ones. 

I really liked that this book had different perspectives and points of view than the first book. In this book we get to know Jen and Derric and hear their stories as well as Becca's as the plot unravels. 

In this story, new mysteries arise, including a special all black seal named Nera that returns to the island at the same time every year and may be more than she seems, and the mystery of a teenaged girl who can't speak. There's also conflict between characters of course, and Becca struggles to find a balance between keeping her true identity a secret and being honest with her friends. 

I can't really think of anything that I didn't like about the book! It was a good, quick read, and I can't wait to see what happens next! :) I even laughed a couple times

Omg! That ending! 

I was expecting there to be an epilogue or something but there were just a bunch of blank pages, I'm a little disappointed. 
I mean, I know you can't always have a happy ending, but it seemed kinda rushed, I could have used a few more chapters. 

Aside from all that, as always, I loved the book. It was impossible to put down, it was super captivating, and fun to read. The writing is great, and I'm always forgetting that it's actually a YA novel because it seems kinda mature, in a good way. 

I loved all the introductions of the new characters, and the mysteries within mysteries that the book had wrapped together. 

Though even after all this time, I'm still not sure how to picture Becca! I have a set image of her in my mind and every time they say "caked on makeup" I get confused. It just doesn't seem like her. 

Sorry this review is so random. I can't wait for the last book!! Go Elizabeth George!
