This book hooked me instantly! It had very similar themes to some popular fae series but it also had things to make it unique. The characters were very intriguing. It was a short read that I enjoyed all the way through. It felt a bit rushed at the end but I will be reading the second!

I think this book could benefit from an editor writing out a timeline of events and flagging continuity issues. There was so many little things that just made zero sense. Also there were typos.. I started highlighting them as I read and eventually stopped because I just wanted to get through it.

The characters don't have a connection to each other than feels any deeper than having a boy you fancy in kindergarten.

This was a quick read I finished it in a few hours. I like the characters and the story line. I think it could have used a bit more actions and fight scenes. I couldn't put it down has a great plot. I can't wait for book 2.

This book was a super easy read and would help anyone get out of a book slump. The only downside is it’s not a complete series yet so I have to wait for the next one. The writing is easy to read and get through, but is action packed and never slows down. I loved Jade for the character she is and even Mal. The cliffhanger you’re left on sucks though.
