Por algum motivo eu comecei esse livro achando que teria alguma coisa de fantasia e não tem. Sinceramente, não gostei muito, mas foi um bom livro pra me tirar da ressaca literária. Consegui ler rápido e fiquei curiosa. Apesar da curiosidade, não me apeguei a nenhum personagem. Não me importei muito com o casal, o único que gosto um pouquinho é o Easton. Me irrita o fato de que o estereótipo de bad boy é tão obvio, o cara é sempre musculoso, incompreendido e lutador (travis maddox, temos visitas! Só que o Reed é um pouco menos problemático que o Travis). É tudo muito parecido com Belo Desastre, mas, diferente dessa série, eu to com vontade de continuar pra ver o que vai dar.

hot mess but super entertaining and addictive. meteor garden/hana yori dango/bof/cinderella and four knights vibe so if you're familiar with above drama series then you know what you're getting into. 
super breezy read so if you need to lie down and read something light and fun this is it.

If I could give this book 100 stars I would. It was amazing and completely ruined me in the best possible way. I started reading it after dinner and could not stop aka I stayed up till 1 AM and the only reason it wasn't later was because I finished it and then had to wake up early for work and coffee is the only thing keeping me alive, couldn't stop reading.

Now all I need is the second book because that cliffhanger gave me the most epic of book hangovers.

firstly, when i started this book i thought it would be fantasy. i rarely read the synopsis and this was not an exception. 
when i found out it was romance it caught me off guard.
i want to say that i cringed sooo hard while reading this book. BUT i love it. it made me laugh, it made me get angry, upset etc. it made me feel so much emotions. 
i got angry because i got second hand embarrassment soooo much. 
the ending had me feel so much anger, like what the hell was that? that wasn't really necessary. i need the second book rn. i need to buy it now! 
it was like a clichè wattpad story but it was so gripping that i finished immediately. 
if you want a fast, funny and clichè read (im not saying this as a bad thing) then you can read this book!

NO! I will not accept that ending! Ugh. I am so mad but I will try and form a coherent review. Needless to say, I will be finishing my other library books and then rush to said library to get the next book BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY I CAN DEAL WITH WHAT HAPPENED!

Okay, so basically the book is about Ella. She's had a pretty rough life to say the least. Her mom was a stripper and in order to make ends meet, Ella had to be a stripper as well. But suddenly, Callum Royal comes and saves Ella from a life of poverty. 

I had really mixed feelings going into this. I know that others did not care for it while some were raving about how good it was. I, personally, enjoyed it. What others found so ridiculous, I enjoyed. I love stories that make me giggle and think  there is no way in God's green earth is this ever going to happen . Because books are about escaping. I don't need all the realism because if I wanted realism, I wouldn't read. 

I got say, Reed really pissed me off in the beginning. The entire family, except for Callum, really pissed me off. They were just so rude and terrible to Ella. Ella didn't ask for Callum to take her in. But once I started to get the history of the family and realized just how broken they are, my anger at the family lessened. The brothers even started to accept Ella as their own. 

I was even rooting for Ella and Reed. I thought that Ella could help Reed heal and in turn, Reed could show Ella that she doesn't have to run anymore. But then Reed goes and pulls that bull crap and now I hate him again. He has some explaining to do in the next book. 

As for my comment about this book not being YA, I realized that it might actually be categorized as NA. My library has categorized it as YA. I think there are some pretty explicit scene details with a whole lot of swearing. Now don't get me wrong, I have nothing against swearing but I'm 24. I'm a grown woman. I don't think a 14 year old should be reading this book. Personally, I think no one over 18 should be reading it but that's just me. 

But for real, I enjoyed this book. It has it's ups and downs but I was totally engrossed the whole time. I judge books based on how I feel while reading them. So I suggest reading this book.

But be honest the royal ruin my head around this week 😥😥😥. I relief that finally I finished this book last saturday with my head spinning too much headache aftertaste read it 😩😩😩😩. Honestly, the book not my favorite genre I just try to read because some of GR friends really like the book and rumour say it that the book will have the indonesian version.

The book is not bad just so-so, from character to the story itself. I like the first half of book before it turn down to hill. During, read it I just felt like eating too much cotton candy at same time 😣😣

The story in my opinion just like some makjang kdrama with american culture taste. When a poor girl meet older alpha-male and his five alpha-male son, and the girl life turn be different after that. 
The characters are kinda plan and trying too-hard to look strong, cool and don't give any shit to what other character say. 

The ending really is the worst from what I expected. The author gives a ending twist that I think not the best consclusion to end story. 
Beside that I really like the author writing style that easy to understand not making the reader boring throughout the story. 

It recomend for reader who love cotton-candy sweet love story with alpha-male protagonist and NA reader

If there's one thing I learnt this year is, anything can grip you and entertain as long as you're aware it has flaws and don't try to gloss over them.

Paper Princess ist unser Buchclubbuch für die Monate März und April und somit habe ich mich mal wieder an einen New Adult Roman gewagt. So würde ich letztendlich das Genre einordnen, denn obwohl es für einen Erotikroman nicht besonders zur Sache geht, würde ich das Buch ganz klar in ein Genre einordnen, das explizitere Beschreibungen beinhaltet. 
Das Lesen war ok. Anfangs war es wirklich sehr langweilig aber man konnte angenehm lesen. Ich bin ja nicht der größte Fan von Young Adult Büchern und das Genre hat es auch ein Stück weit an sich, für Fantasyleser langweilig zu sein, allerdings habe ich auch schon deutlich spannendere Romane aus dem Genre gelesen. Gegen Ende hat sich das aber durchaus gebessert und es passierte einiges, was mich dann mehr an das Buch fesselte. Auch Ella war mir sehr sympathisch, weil man selten Protagonistinnen im Young Adult Bereich erlebt, die nicht die jungen Mauerblümchen sind, die nicht wissen, wie man mit Männern umgeht und sich nicht einmal ihrer Schönheit bewusst sind. Hier also ein dicker Pluspunkt, denn Ella ist stark, selbstbewusst und vor allen Dingen unabhängig und macht sich im Laufe der Geschichte auch nicht von den Royals abhängig, was mir sehr gut gefallen hat. 
Letztendlich bekommt die Geschichte aber nur knappe 3 Sterne von mir. Schuld dafür sind hauptsächlich die Royal Jungs. Callum, der Vater der Jungs und der Vormund von Ella, kann ich dabei allerdings ausschließen. Ihn habe ich fest in mein Herz geschlossen, denn er ist im Grunde ein Mann, der sehr um seine verstorbene Frau trauert, nicht frei von Fehlern ist aber dennoch herzensgut und sich sehr um Ellas wohlergehen sorgt. Alle fünf Royal-Jungs sind jedoch schrecklich. Einer ist schlimmer als der andere und hat zweifelhafte Moralvorstellungen und weder gehen sie anfangs gut mit Ella um, noch im gesamten Verlauf freundlich mit einem anderen weiblichen Wesen.
Das ist jedoch nicht alles. Schlimm wäre es nicht, wenn diese Verhaltensweisen ausreichend problematisiert werden. Im Gegensatz dazu werden sie jedoch in Paper Princess als nicht problematisch erklärt, was ich wiederum problematisch finde. Jede kleine Gelegenheit wird zum Anlass genommen, sich zu schlagen, was anscheinend nicht weiter schlimm wird. Falsche Verhaltensweisen der Jungs werden mit ihrer Vergangenheit erklärt und sind somit ganz normal und anstatt, dass Ella das als negativ empfindet, erklärt sie ganz klar: Sie steht auf Steinzeitmenschen und findet das toll. (Und das steht an einer Stelle des Buches wirklich. Nicht ausgedacht. :D) Somit kann ich letztendlich sagen, dass ich zwar gegen Ende Spaß am Lesen hatte, das Buch aber an niemanden weiterempfehlen kann, von dem ich nicht weiß, dass er ein ebenso ausgeprägtes Urteilsvermögen besitzt.
Fazit: Nachdem die anfänglichen Phasen überwunden sind, in denen das Buch einfach nur langweilig ist, machte das Lesen von Paper Princess Spaß und die Protagonistin Ella gefiel mir, da sie eine selbstbewusste und eigenständige Frau ist. Das Buch ist im Young Adult-Genre definitiv gut aufgehoben, dennoch störte mich die zweifelhafte Moral im Buch, die durch die Protagonisten nicht kritisch bewertet sondern gut geheißen wurde.

I'm addicted. Ella and Reed had me reading until the wee hours of the morning! I love the dynamics between Ella and The Royal family. They are puzzle pieces that I hope to make fit so I can see the entire picture. 

Yes, it has a cliffhanger and yes it will be a trilogy ... But ask me if I care? :throws money at the authors: Take my hard earned money please! 

This is what a great author collaboration looks like. #justsayin 

If you enjoy trilogies....this book is for you. You enjoy Mariah Cole ... Yup, this book is for you. You enjoy those "taboo" stepbrother romances ... Yes, you will like this book, too.

the Royals need to go to therapy, every single one of them... 

ok, this was a perfect book to get out of the reading slump, a fast, flowing, funny and a bit -very- cliché read but i will admit i enjoyed it.

if i'm honest i was expecting a more from this story and although I've had a few headaches because of the Royals, and their obvious lack of communication, I will most likely continue with the series just because it seems to be my latest new guilty pleasure.

I started this book late one morning, thinking it had some sort of fantasy element to it. After a few pages in, I realized I was wrong, but I was hooked and had to find out where the story was going. 2:00 am the next morning, I finished the book and wanted more!

This story is about a Ella Harper, an orphaned teenager, living her life to survive and make it through high school, when she's plucked from her life to live with the rich best friend of the father she never knew, and his five sons.

“I know I can’t replace your parents, but I’m here for you in any way that you would need them. You may have lost your family, but you’re not alone anymore, Ella. You’re a Royal now.”

Ella tries to stay true to herself while struggling to feel welcomed by her new "brothers" and fit into at the exclusive prep school she's been thrown into.

"If I’m going to be here for two years, then I need to make a good impression. And now at the forefront of my mind is another thought— why the hell do I care? I don’t need these people to like me, I just need to graduate from high school. But I do care. I hate myself for it, but I can’t fight this desperate need to try. Try to fit in. Try to make this school experience different than all the previous ones."

Of her 5 new "brothers", one of them, Reed, is a special kind of jerk to her! And it becomes this whole plot point of why?! What's his deal?? I wanted to punch him in the face a few times. And while I typically am not a fan of guys, who treat women like garbage, and women who keep going back for more, I found myself waiting, with baited breath, with every turn of the page, for these two to get their sh!t together and figure it out!

It really was addictively entertaining! I can't wait for book two!

Ella has lost it all. She's all alone, trying to make ends meet so she can stay in high school and graduate. Suddenly, Callum Royal arrives, claiming he was Ella's father's best friend and he was named as her legal guardian. Ella doesn't want to go with him but Callum promises to give her money if she stays to live under his care. Ella agrees because she wants the money to go to college. But life as a Royal is not easy and Ella has to fight to stay.
Can I just say that Ella is such a badass and so fierce! I freaking loved her and admired her. She didn't take shit from anyone, especially from Reed and Easton Royal. These two made it impossible for Ella yet she stayed strong throughout it all. I really liked Easton from the beginning and I was happy to see him befriend Ella. Reed, on the other hand, was a tough cookie to swallow but in the end, I was head over heels. Although, I didn't like how he would want Ella, then kind of push her away. It was a back-and-forth thing going on.
The ending gave me whiplash! I couldn't believe what was happening and my heart broke into pieces along with Ella's. I need book 2 in my life so I know what happens! I need answers!
Overall, Paper Princess is a very entertaining story with strong-willed and fierce characters and everyone needs to read this book!!

This book was disappointing. It has such a big hype that I had to read it but the love interests were sad and the ending was even more sad. It was a fast read and I had a hard time connecting with any of the characters. The characters were sexist and rude. I don’t recommend this book.
