Right, this book is definitely intense. I enjoyed it but the plot is way more intense than I expected. For some reasons I expected the book to be more about sex and BDSM than about Amy’s secret and past. 
The characters are good. I was sometimes really frustrated with Amy because in my opinion she makes a lot of really bad choices but in the end, I guess she doesn’t have much choice. Liam I feel does not get enough spotlight for me to really appreciate him but he is a very typical millionaire. And I like that he likes to protect Amy. 
The cliffhanger ending totally messed with my head but thankfully I had the next installment on hand and I could start it straight away.

Seriously. Awesome kick start to her writing career. This book was great!

Amy lives through something that no should have to live through. She lost her family in a fire when she was younger and ever since she has been on the run. From who? We don't know. Why? We don't know. All we know is Amy has nothing permanent and nothing to her name. She begins the novel in New York City and got a job at a museum, but shortly after she is hired she gets that message telling her she needs to leave. 


  "'I've found you and so can they. Go to JFK Airport directly. Do not go home. Do not linger. Locker 111 will have everything you need.' My heart thunders in my chest as I take in the signature that is nother more than a triangle with some writing inside of it." 



She doesn't know anything about her protector, but she has always been kept safe. She gets to the airport and is waiting for her plane when she meets Liam. 


  "He is money, power, and sex, and while I cannot make out the color of his eyes, I don't need to. All that matters is that he is one hundred percent focused on me, and me on him." 


Turns out Liam is headed to stay in the same city as Amy, but the flight is something that changes Amy's life forever. Liam is an architect and is staying for a work project, and Amy is escaping. Liam sees that Amy is hiding something and wants to help her fight her monsters. Her Godzilla.

Be aware though, there is a cliff-hanger that leaves you hungry for more.

Lisa Renee Jones is such a fantastic writer and I am so glad I have been able to read and review a bunch of her books. 

So far every books I have read by this author I have totally loved. Escaping Reality I absolutely love and I just couldn't put it down.

I just want to start by saying that this book was spectacular. It is not your typical erotica. There is so much more to it. 

Firstly, the story line is amazing and captivating. The effortlessness of the writing really enchanted me from the very first page. The fact that this is not only a Contemporary Romance, but also a Mystery and Suspense novel made me enjoy it so much more. The sequence of events in the plot are all natural, unforced. This gives a certain realism aspect to this novel.

Secondly, the amount of characters in this book is kept to a minimum, which I liked. This way there is no confusion between characters and the events they take part in, but there are enough to keep us interested throughout the read. I found that Amy was a fantastic main character struggling with trusting people, and being honest with people. Her character development is absolutely spot-on, and her reactions are all appropriate to each situation she faces.

I'd like to finish off by saying that this was a beautiful and enticing book that you should read given the opportunity!
