I really liked reading this book even if it's not one I would pick out myself. Maybe it's the title that would scare me off probably like a lot of people, but I got this book and decided not to put it aside and read it and I am glad I did. Some of the stories in there are really amazing and they change the way you look at the subjet and it is also an eye opener.

Probably revolutionary when it was released in 1996 but compared to other more modern books the ideas really have no depth. Plus politically times have changed since it’s release and you can tell based on synonymous references of sex and gender, felt a bit regressive. The intro was fun though and did like the historical aspects.

This was an interesting reading. Although the book is not perfect [which one is?!) it is recommended. with it we get to know a sit how women relate themselves with their vaginas, the world and feminism.

this was written in 1998, and you can see that from the names of celebrities who have been involved with performing the monologues, but also I think that if this had been written today it would have been different.

I had a quick look at some other reviews, and it felt like they were judging the book on today's standards, and asking why it wasn't more X. I think this was and is an important performance piece and book, and you shouldn't forget whom this book will have influenced in the 19 years since it was published.
