So, I bought this book back when I didn't really read. After I read it though (four months later), I could not stop thinking about it. It's just one of those endings that stick with you. And I can't recommend it more to whoever wants to read it. It'll definitely be worth the trip to the library or the ten bucks you spend on it. Promise :)

           I first read this book when I was in high school. Having reread it as an adult I think the only reason I liked it so much back then is because the language, sex, and drugs is very adult despite it being a young adult book. 
I think the biggest issue with this book is this poor little rich kid complex the main character gives along with many anti-LGBTQ+ slurs and comments.
 The second is that evvverrryyyone does drugs and evvvverrrryyyyoooonnne smokes and they are all like 19 with the life experiences of someone in their late twenties or thirties. 
The last thing that really brought the rating down for me this time around is the authors need to over describe every single characters outfits each time they come up. Its not needed and frankly the outfit choices of the female characters would have never happened even in 2007.

This is absolutely the worst book I have ever read. That is definitely a personal opinion. I Will say I loved the structure of the writing. But the plot, which is one of the most important parts of a book to me was awful, and I know 100% I feel that way because of how real and hidious it was. I also can not stand drugs one bit & it's kind of difficult to enjoy a book when you are scowling the entire time you read it. Nothing good happened and I was waiting for that moment when everything would turn around for the better and the entire book the further on I read the worse it got. By the end I just felt sick and unhappy and I hated every second, but I'm glad I read it. I would have never picked this up if it wasn't shoved into my hands to read. I am really sad, but I am so glad I finished it and never have to read it again holy shit.
