2.5 stars because i literally could not stand how everyone kept saying “slut” and it wasn’t really in a slut-shaming way, but it was still in a women-shaming way, and it just made me feel gross.

You would think a book with THAT title and THAT cover would be...well, filthy, but as it turns out, it was just kind of boring.

There was a lot of emphasis put on the main couple's financial struggles, but because the wife, Elle, was so selfish and never communicated with her husband, I kind of felt like she deserved all the stress she was experiencing over their money issues. And because she was the point-of-view character (except for ONE CHAPTER that was written in third person, following other characters that were not with Elle, so that's just bad writing), I was stuck in her head the entire book! And I didn't like her! I didn't want to be stuck in her head!

The relationship dynamic was interesting, but nothing really stood out to me about this book other than the things I didn't like about it.

Really enjoyed this!

I really enjoyed this exploration of fantasy within marriage. The only reason this isn’t five stars is because the heroine’s insecurities and materialism were a little jarring at times and seemed too much of a contrast with the rest of her character. However, I love the story and everything that happens!
