This is probably my favourite book on Ada Lovelace (and there seem to be many recently). I'm also gratified that so many women who changed the world are getting some NICE COLOURFUL narrative nonfiction dedicated to them, because lordy the horrid black and white poorly designed ugly biographies of women we've had to put up with up to now were just dismal. 
This also makes some great connections between Lovelace and the world at that time (industrial revolution) and the thinkers of the day - Dickens, Faraday, Somerville and of course Babbage and goes more into the mathematical algorithm which makes it more than a "fluff" biography.
