There are seeds of the much better 'My Phantoms' in this book. It's good, but I think she's still getting there. IMO.

i feel like i got vomited on all over myself after i was done with this. 

i couldn't find the humor that 90% of critics keep banging on, it was all relentlessly bleak and malevolent. 
the saving grace was, Riley's potent prose that was very reminiscent of Rachel Cusk, Lauren Geoff etc.
