Maybe 3 stars seems low, it should be 3 1/4 maybe. I liked the story, I just had some issues with some of the things the characters said or did that seemed way too unrealistic. It's fiction, I get the concept, but still, there were just moments I actually rolled my eyes. Of course there were moments I teared up as well, so, solid 3 1/4 stars. I am however intrigued by the next story and it's characters (the best friends of these characters) because their story was a bit of a teaser in this one and I'd like to see that play out.

Four Letter Word is the first book by this author I have read and not sure why I kept putting this author off. I have seen her works around for a long while now, and every time I saw these books at B&N I was so tempted to grab them up. But I just never really did but I can say that I was impressed with the style implemented here. And it had a take on it that was so unique and different in some various aspects that just drew me further into the story with each chapter.



Four Letter Words begins with our heroine, Sydney, having her husband walk out on their marriage. And when her best friend gets hurt in one of the worst ways, she isn't super fond of the male species at the moment. But when she decides to call the man that hurt her friend and give him a piece of her mind.....it ends up being the wrong number and sparks fly between her and her mystery caller. And soon after they start texting and sharing calls on the phone, and learning each other in cute charming ways. Sydney never knew what she would do once she met him in real life, but when they do meet....the chemistry and emotion between them is off the charts, and she finds a love she never expected to find in a man that gives her all...

This story was *sigh* was so dang good here and I was so in love with the style in which this book evolved and seeing their love story grow was packed with charm. The level by which this book is character driven was what sparked my interest the most within this story. I didn't want to give these two up because their love story was heart warming. Our hero, Brian is a man dealing with trauma of knowing an action of his caused hurt to a child. And is doing everything he can to help provide the family with all that they need financially to make up for it even if it means becoming a porn star. He hates it but does it because the money is good. It isn't until he meets Sydney he starts to see that life is worth living again and not be so consumed by mistakes of the past. It was Brian's character that just drew me in fully into the story. I adored his character so much, there is so much pain within him and I wanted to just heal his hurts. There is so much goodness to his heart. Sydney is a wonderful heroine, I do wish she had been more open and understanding to him when she learns the truth of it all, which is what kept this book from a five star read. The way she reacts to it all, especially when she knows the "why" of it just kinda baffled me, it just didn't fit with her character at all.



Overall I found Four Letter Word to be a stunning story to immerse one self in this author's writing, the charm, humor, and fun narrators just gave this book all the feels it deserved! I can't wait to delve more into this world.

J. Daniels proves once again why she's one of my favorite authors!

Love was a risk. It was wild and unpredictable. You could either hold on for the ride, not knowing how it would end, or you could let go and never know the amazing you could’ve had.

After Sydney gets dumped by her husband, she flees to Dogwood Beach to stay with her best friend. When Sydney stays with Tori, she finds out that the guy Tori had been seeing broke her heart. Sydney is out looking for blood after all that anger she had for her husband. And the perfect excuse to let out all that frustration comes in the form of dialing the man Tori was dating to give him a piece of her mind. After Sydney rambles on and on turns out she dialed the wrong number and the guy on the line is actually amused by Sydney. They start texting, then calling each other, and ultimately confiding in one another.

Best two and a half weeks of my life came from a girl who was never meant to give me anything. And she was giving me everything.

I was so impressed by this novel that J. Daniels crafted of two strangers meeting accidentally through a phone call! I was especially drawn to Brian Savage and the predicament he was in. He looks forward to every text and phone call with Sydney and he wants nothing more than to be with her, but it's not that easy. He has a job that won't exactly make it easy to be with Sydney. I wasn't expecting the job he had and the way. It would break my heart when he was vulnerable and after learning why it brought me to tears.

"You’re the best mistake I’ve ever made."

Sydney was such a firecracker and I loved that about her! There's a reason Brian calls her Wild. The nickname fits her to a T. And when she gets together with Tori, it's even more! Sydney and Tori felt authentic and their friendship was unbelievably tight. I loved how these two were always there for one another. If one felt like doing something crazy and, let's be honest, not normal, the other one would encourage and do the same thing. I mean, there's a car scene that totally explains this (and I was singing "Bust Your Windows" while reading this).

Overall, Four Letter Word surprised me in such a good way. It was everything I didn't know I wanted and more! The wit and humor had me laughing, the romance had me swooning and melting inside, the friendships were some of the best I've read in a while. J. Daniels delivered a great story and I can't wait for the rest of the series!

Guess who release a brand new series? J.Daniels did. And it is totally hot romance read. The first one in the brand new series is Four Letter Word.
Four Letter Word is Sydney and Brain story that it is going to bring a crazy romance read with some hilarious scenes. Sydney is crazy yet funny beautiful women that every reader will want her as their best friend. I just love her personality so much because she made me laugh so much throughout the book because she will say what she wants to say no matter. Just like she was going off to the guy who broken her best friend heart but it was a stranger instead hearing her sassy side. 
That stranger, Brian, was definitely surprise and intrigued from this sassy woman on the phone. Brian has been going through a tough time that the sassy woman, Sydney, made the perfect timing in making contract with him. I definitely love Brain very much in the book because he has dirty mouth whenever he talks to Sydney that it will make you blush and hot but he also have some heart-warming moments that makes you swoon for him. 
Sydney and Brian keeps communicating with each other that they get to know more and more about without meeting so soon. But when they do meet, they definitely have hot chemistry between them that they are a perfect. 
Four Letter Word is a wonderful romance read that you will enjoy some hot steamy romance with some twist comedy in the mix. Four Stars!

Four Letter Word is the perfect title for this wild and sexy story. I was intrigued from the moment I read the blurb. I had no idea where this story was going to go with two complete strangers meeting over an accidentally phone call to the wrong person. 

After learning that her hubby wanted out of their marriage, Syd moves to Dogwood Beach. She is staying with her best friend, Tori who happens to also be having some man trouble. Fueling from the emotions left by her hubby and Wes who has completely treated her bestie like sh*t, she decides to call Wes and give him a piece of her mind. As soon as whoever is on the other end picks up, Syd releases her fury only to later realize that she had dialed the wrong number. 

From the moment Brian answers his phone, he is thrown for a loop at the wild, crazy, and feisty girl on the other end. From their forward, you are thrown on a ride of emotions. Brian has some baggage that he is trying to deal with and keep it all hidden from Syd. In the end, will their love overcome everything they have been through?

I am probably in the minority here because I LOVED this book. The pace was amazing and I felt a connection to all of the characters. I laughed and I cried. I swooned and felt myself get hot at times. But let me tell you the biggest part of the reason I love this book, the friendships. I loved Syd and Tori's relationship as well as Brian and Jamie's. They showed us what true friendship is. Syd's pain was Tori's. Anything Brian was going through, Jamie was there to help. One of the things I love about J. Daniels is how well she writes her secondary characters. It never feels like they are just written to fill a spot, they are written to be a part of the main characters family. I am so excited to read Tori and Jamie's story next and get some of all of these characters :)

This book was a quick read that I liked but it isn't one I liked enough to keep and read again in the future. It is well written but I just didn't swoon for the main guy (Brian) .

What a sexy book! Oh my God, talk about steamy and swoon worthy. I was already a fan of J. Daniels before reading this book, and can I say that she never seizes to amaze me with her original plots and captivating characters.

This story was about Sydney, aka Wild and Brian aka Trouble - the nicknames are freaking cute. Their story begins in a really funny and original way - through a misdial trying to her best friend's ex who wronged her a piece of her mind. Just thinking about it makes me smile. I loved how Brian and Syd helped each other heal throughout the novel, and found them to be beyond reproach. (Where'd my Brian?) 

As for the title of the book, it was so appropriate. I will never look at four letter words the same again! They now have the memory of this book attached to them, and I will notice them EVERYWHERE. 

I absolutely recommend this book!

I am officially now a J. Daniels fan!! I recently read Sweet Addiction and really enjoyed it. When I saw the synopsis for Four Letter Word, I knew I couldn't pass this one up. There's just something about her writing style, story lines and characters that just works for me. I'm so happy that I found an author who I have a feeling will consistently please me with her books.

I think the synopsis gives plenty of background, so I'll keep this review on the vague side. ;)

Sydney and Brian are an unlikely pair. They "meet" in one of the most hilarious scenes I've read in a very long time. I couldn't stop laughing throughout this entire scene, and even several times after reading it. Basically whenever I think about it. Yup, I'm actually laughing again right now. It's THAT funny!! I swear, J. Daniels just gets me with her words.

The romance between these two was hot. We're talking off-the-charts kind of hotness. Their nicknames for each other, "Wild" and "Trouble" explained them quite perfectly, so that should tell you how the adventures with this duo played out. All wild, all trouble, all the time.

The side characters are equally incredible and quite necessary to the story. I adored the friendship between Syd and Tori. These two BFF's are diehard buddies and would do almost anything, and I mean ANYTHING for each other. (Even call an ex-boyfriend to totally ream them out with quite explicit language and horrible accusations. Now, THAT'S a good friend!!) The guys and their friendship was just as touching, but in a more manly way, of course. Though they weren't all sappy together, they had each other backs. I can't say that I loved Jamie, Brian's best bud, immediately, but I definitely loved him by the halfway point. He's crude, insulting, and a bit aggravating... but also quite funny and has a heart of gold. He totally won me over, despite it annoying ways.

I'm so excited that I was sent a copy of this book. I haven't read nearly as many romance books as I'd like to lately. Now I'm dying for book two in this series, which is the story of two side characters from this book. (If you don't want any spoilers, DON'T read the synopsis for Hit the Spot!!!!) I LOVE companion novels, so let's just say I'll be ALL OVER this one!! Come on,

Ho-lee god, I was not expecting Four Letter Word to be as hot and dirty as it turned out to be! WOW. If all of J. Daniels’ books are like this, I think I’m going to have to start reading them, because seriously, this book nearly had me on fire. I loved it! I loved Brian and Sydney and I’m so happy about how their story turned out. I was intrigued by the idea of two strangers accidentally meeting by phone, and the execution, while starting off slow, didn’t disappoint. I’m very impressed with this story, and I’m definitely looking forward to more of the series!

After getting basically dumped by her husband of seven years, Sydney needs a break from her life, so she hides away at her best friend’s place. Turns out her bff, Tori, also has a man who’s scum – so with all her pent-up anger thanks to her husband, Sydney goes to dial the man who broke her best friend’s heart and yell at him and chew him out. Except she misdialed and called the wrong man – who would turn out to become so much more than just a voice on the other end of the phone. An exchange of texts leads to phone calls, which leads to sharing things about each other that neither of them have ever shared before. Who knew an accidental phone call would change a person’s life?

Brian Savage lives for Sydney’s texts and calls. He thinks about her 24/7 – but he knows that nothing will ever come out of it, much to his devastation. The situation he’s in, the job he has, everything conspires to prevent him from being with the one girl he knows is meant for him. I’ll admit, when I found out about Brian’s job, I was wary of his character as a hero, but I really shouldn’t have worried. This is a man completely obsessed and into his woman – there is no one and nothing but her for him. If you know me, then you’ll know I kinda love that in my heroes, so Brian won me over pretty quickly. And holy smokes, does this man have a mouth on him! He’s a dirty talking alpha like no other, and I loved it. He honestly reminded me of Kristen Ashley’s heroes, but dare I say it… even better?

This book did get off to a rough start for me. It was kind of dragging and I was basically just waiting for when the main characters would meet. But once the story picked up, I seriously couldn’t stop reading. I got HOOKED onto the story, the characters, and their explosive love. The ending gets a little OTT, but that was easily forgivable because I was enjoying Brian and Sydney so much. If you love insanely hot books with a hero who is 100% into the heroine, you will definitely want to pick this book up. It was a fabulously dirty read – and now I’m crazy for book two! I don’t particularly care for Jamie (Brian’s best friend) at this point, but I love enemies-to-lovers romances, and I know Jamie and Tori will have one epic story. I can’t wait to read it!
