never thought I would say this about a freida’s book but this one is not worth it. Wtf was all that turtle talk? Every time the word turtle appeared on the page I severely rolled my eyes. The end was unexpected yes, but it didn’t hit the spot.

This book definitely too me on an emotional rollercoaster, expertly weaving a gripping psychological thriller. The pace never lets up, and kept me captivated from beginning to end. And speaking of the ending, it was an unexpected twist that left me in awe. One of the standout aspects of the story was the portrayal of Dawn with autism. I think many readers will either like or dislike her character.

I absolutely love this author.  Her books are easy to read, fast paced, the twist and the turns and I can never figure out the ending.

Natalie and Dawn are coworkers.  Their cubicles are next to each other and they are friendly but still strangers.  When one goes missing, different truths are revealed as the search for the missing goes on.  When you think you have it figured out, you don’t.

This was another quick read from Ms McFadden the story line was good but I predicted the ending and wasn’t blown away by the epilogue but ig I was satisfied w the outcome in the end lmao #I🩷turtles

This one was interesting. While it wasn’t my favorite book by Frieda I think the storyline was compelling at the beginning but once part 2 hit it changed for me. It was still an enjoyable book but the execution of the plot and twist wasn’t my favorite and I have enjoyed some others more. Overall a fun read but I also predicted what was going to happened. It did get with one part but the bigger twist I saw coming.

As usual with Freida this was an easy breezy read. Out of the 13 Freida books I’ve read this is the first that I was able to predict the entire story. Did this lessen my odds of like-ability? Probably. I was hoping for at least one surprise but I nailed it all. From the boyfriend down to the dead body. 

There is lots of turtle talk and some fairly cringe personalities in The Coworker with adults over 30 referring to “boyfriend points” like some middle schoolers. And how someone who is clever enough to embezzle money from work and charity events doesn’t have the brains to lawyer up immediately when evidence is piling up baffles me. How can you be so smart and stupid at the same time? 😆 

The bullying and the suicide hit hard for me though and I wish that I could say for certain that Natalie genuinely did regret her high school behavior but even her own mother could see that her daughter can be a monster to others.

As crazy and odd as Dawn can be my heart broke for her. Longing for friendship and acceptance but getting nothing but cold hearted hate from everyone including her mom. I wish there was a little more back story there with Dawn’s upbringing. 

Overall it was a decent read. Just not as thrilling as I would have preferred.

I always say i’m going to get the plot twist, and i always get it so so wrong bless me!
I was afraid I wasn’t going to like this book for some reason, but it went above and beyond my expectations! And the plot really got me, multiple times…

both mcs were honestly written like 16 yos, they just seemed way too corny 

none of the twists really did it for me, & honestly i would have dnf'd it if i didnt pick up the audiobook. the random ramblings would've been too tedious to go though

overall its a 2.5

Interesting story. Typical Freida plot twists

She has done it again. I loved this book. It definitely takes you on a journey throughout this entire book, and if you think that it's going one way, then it takes you a totally different way. I was shocked by all the twists and turns
