I really enjoyed this mystery, primarily because of the two main characters, Bryant and May, young men in their 20s and old men in their 70s, as the book switched back and forth from their very first case in London during WWII to their last. Their personalities are night and day, making it interesting to see how their early frustrations with each other grew into a respect for their different methods and, in the end, a deep affection and friendship.
