I totally felt like a voyeur reading about Gabrielle Bell's relationship with Michel Gondry, but it's all part of the awkward fun times!

I read my first three graphic novels last year and really enjoyed them. (Well, I read “Fun House” a few years ago, but that was more of a “what is this?” moment).

I somewhere came across this book of Bell’s that sounded interesting. By the time I started the book, I received three more of hers from the library to soon read.

Thinking that this was her first book, halfway through I was giving her the benefit of the doubt— feeling that this was horrible because it was her first one. I later found out that this wasn’t her first book. It was just bad. And I have three more on my nightstand ready to go.

The highlight? Late in the book, tired of drawing herself, she draws herself in a blizzard in a completely white outfit. Uh-huh. We’ll see if I read the others or just send them back.

Edit: I forgot to come back to say I returned the other three books post-haste.
