I thoroughly enjoyed the book. The insights into Kasparov's thinking and philosophy were fun to read. I know and like to play chess, but I don't think you'll need to know chess to enjoy the book. The timing of the book is also interesting because DeepMind's AlphaZero has thought itself to play Chess, Go and Shogi. AlphaZero could beat StockFish, which is a very strong chess program. Some interesting games played by AlphaZero (chess) vs StockFish have just been released in a paper and analysis is already out on Youtube. Deep Blue, the supercomputer custom built to play chess (or rather beat Kasparov) used a brute force approach, relying on computing future positions very quickly. AlphaZero, on the other hand, is actually learning and developing its own strategies. From what I've seen it actually plays attacking chess which is amazing!

We are living in interesting times and I can't wait to see what is in store for AI/ML and it's adoption in our lives.
