Corr Syl the Warrior

In the peaceful Tsaeb civilization, few warriors remain to preserve the ancient knowledge of combat and war. It is good that warriors persist, for like unworthy thoughts, dangerous individuals and species appear from time to time and civilization needs its defenders. The Tsaeb civilization formed 40 million years ago. It has survived giant meteorites and advancing ice sheets. But the greatest danger is always from new species. Now, a militant new species is beginning to expand. The council of the small Wycliff District sends a young Tsaeb warrior named Corr Syl to investigate and recommend a defense. Corr soon learns that spies have infiltrated his district, and already many lives are at risk. With no time to spare, Corr must choose between a safe response that might fail, and a certain response that might start a global war.
