I'm convinced that if just 15% of Christian leaders read and embodied the message of this book and Christena Cleveland's book Disunity in Christ: Uncovering the Hidden Forces That Keep Us Apart the North American church would be palpably healthier and more unified. Ortlund's plea for humility, use of historical theology and personal experiences are a gift to the reader regardless of one's theological persuasion (I for one disagree with him on a few points). He wants us to keep the main thing (the good news of Jesus) the main thing... which is a good thing. 

I only wish Ortlund extended his "if x view on y issue makes one liberal than x y z theologians are liberal" argumentation style to egalitarianism. Roger Nicole, Craig Keener, Gordon Fee, F. F Bruce, I. Howard Marshall, and R. T France make quite a list!
