A lot of fun, if you overlook the rampant racism and sexism in it. I mean, it's bad in that regard, but still a fun read. Also, very different from the movie as it's a much slower more methodical story about a spy that does his work in a very proper manner making sure that he's always covered. I'll read more Bond over time, but need to space them out.

Ignoring the usual racist/sexist tones (they are very much 'of their time') the book clips along at a good rate, pausing now and then to describe Bond's world in great detail. Hard to read without the movie in mind but it takes a slightly different course and is all the better for it.
