Batman, Officer Down

In a story that indicates a new dark-edged direction for the Batman line: Commissioner Jim Gordon has been Batman's trusted ally within the GCPD but is now lying perilously close to death, shot by an unknown gunman. For once, the Dark Knight Detective hasn't a clue.
