I wanted to like this book more. I think Greg Boyd is a refreshing voice in the Church, but this book was just okay. Although the theological parts (last half of the book) were enjoyable to read and interesting, I found Boyd's survey of the Biblical texts to be repetitive, wooden and unconvincing.
