** spoiler alert **
           I enjoyed this more than the first one, just for the excitement and stress it brought 😂 the first book was big on establishing the (strained) relationship between Hazard and Somers, whereas this one focused more on the crime and mystery. There were still some intense moments between the two, a small bit of development towards the end game but it always feels like one step forward, two steps back 😔 I honestly love it tho I’m such a sucker for a good slow burn, so I can’t wait to get stuck into book three.
