I've seen on here how other people feel about this book so I thought I would share my thoughts. If you read this book and think that all Christian thinks about is sex then you're right at first and if you've read FSOG then you know that their relationship for him was all about sex. So for that to be the main goal in his mind for the majority of this book makes sense. When I first read FSOG I saw it for what it was. Not a book about BDSM but a story about a frightened little boy falling in love and learning how to be a man. 

It's all about his character growth and renewal that all stems from meeting and falling in love with Miss Anastasia Steele. I've wanted to read this story from his POV since the beginning because in my mind this story isn't about Ana or her first relationship it's about Christian and the changes he needs to make to become whole for the first time in his life. Reading it from his side gives you so much enlightenment into how he was feeling during the most intriguing parts of the original book. How he felt when she left! How he sees himself when he looks in the mirror! Everything that I wanted to know, all my questions were answered. I love this book and I hope that E. L. James will finish the story from his POV cause the moments to come are the ones that I'm most curious about!!

I was pretty excited for this book, to say the least. No judging! I read  50 Shades of Grey  and the entire series. I really enjoyed the series even if it was a bit raunchy at times, to say the least. So I was pretty thrilled when EL James released a book from the point of view of Christian. 

It follows the plot line of  50 Shades  and a just a little bit after. For those that haven't read the books, I'll give a brief little overview. Christian is a multi billionaire control freak with a freaky side, to put it mildly. He meets Ana, who is a college student, through an interview. He wants her and she wants him, quite simply. What ensues is a journey of finding themselves and figuring out how to make their relationship work. 

I had no idea Christian was so twisted. Okay, I had a little bit of an idea. But I really had no possibly idea that he was so dark. His inner monologue is very graphic. He holds nothing back. Literally. He describes Ana and the things we wants to do her very graphically. I also felt so bad for Christian. You get bits and pieces of his childhood from what he remembers and the nightmares he had. 

It was nice to finally know what Christian was thinking when Ana did the things she did or said the things she said. In  50 Shades  I was often wondered what Christian was thinking, since it was in first person. All I knew was what Ana knew. So often, she was very wrong about Christian. 

It was also cool to see how Christian reacted when (view spoiler)[ Ana left  (hide spoiler)]. Again, you only know what Ana did and how she reacted. You only get a glimpse of what Christian could even possibly be thinking. 

I feel like you could probably get away with reading this book first, if you so chose. I read this book after I read the first three. It's up to you. You won't miss anything by reading this book first, just as you won't miss anything by reading this book last. Hell, you could probably read it after you read the first book. I have no complaints about this book and how it was done. 

 Upon doing a bit of research, I found out there is very likely going to be a Christian POV to 50 Shades Darker. Yay!

When I first read Fifty Shades Series, I was blown away by it years ago and when then I decided to re-read the series again and this time I read it together with Christian Grey Point of View. It's actually frustrating and entertaining at the same time but I still love every single words written. But when you read Christian's Pov it makes more sense and you understand better what makes him that way. 

Although we all know how the story actually begin and ended but it goods to read both parties. Since this is old books I'm sure most people had read it so I'm not going to say much. But if you haven't please read it. Oh! And I just ordered a copy of this book last week. So yeah! 

Highly Recommended! :)

I waited so long to read this book and it didn't disappoint. It was very eye-opening and refreshing to read Christian's point of view of what happened and how heel feels towards Ana. Although, I enjoy Ana's POV more, this book was very enjoyable to read and I hope I get to read the rest of the story in Christian's perspective as well.

I had this book for like forever but in preparation ( ok, excitement) for Fifty Shades Darker movie I decided to finally read Grey. 

Got to say ... I actually liked it. I enjoyed getting inside his mind and thoughts. Thank goodness his inner goddess was absent, but seriously ....

It was interesting to hear his thoughts on his life and relationship with Anastasia. 

I would like to read the next Grey perspective book ... If the price is right. 


If it's been awhile since you read fifty shades then try reading this instead. Grey is still 50 Shades of ...but you get an inside look on why he is what he is.

Reading Fifty Shades from Christian's perspective gives a whole new side to his possessive, controlling self. The use of neglect, abuse and lack of control in his childhood shows itself through his actions. 
As a Psychology student, it was fascinating to read and I will happily read the next two as well. 
I much prefer Christian's tellings than Anastasia's, Parts of her inner monologue are quite annoying to me for some reason but Christian's black and white way of looking at life is a very interesting to read for me

But one thing I have to say. It irks me to read some reviews. People complaining about the bdsm aspects of it. It was never intended as a bdsm instruction manual, it is intended as a story, thats it.

It was just as good as fifty shades of grey. Glad it was in Christian words though as now you understand everything that he feels. 
You can see him change on how he works with women and why he is falling for Ana. It is like twilight version of Edward which never appeared but this is so much better.

I really struggled to finish this book after starting! But once I got into it I couldn’t put it down! E.L James has produced an amazing book to follow the original trilogy and allows readers to see things through the eyes of Christian Grey…

It’s so different to read from the males perspective and gives it a different atmosphere. Loved hearing the story from Christians side! Loved the little inner conversations he had with himself!

Grey really was a rehash of the original story. However, I did enjoy reading this story again from Grey's perspective. As a book with an expected audience of females, telling Fifty Shades of Grey from Ana's perspective made sense. The reader got all of her fear, anger, indecision, and angst that women recognize as part of falling in love. What makes this novel worth reading is that we now get Grey's absolute terror and confusion as he tries to sort out his ever-growing feelings for Ana. He has absolutely no understanding of what love is or could be as well as believing himself completely unworthy of such feelings. The background monologue from his perspective gives the reader a much better understanding of Grey's motives and actions. I do hope that E L James writes the other two books from Grey's perspective as well.

however; having Christian's interesting take on the same situations explains why some of his extreme reactions were prompted in the first place. 

Like the first series, this book kept me tantalized to the point that I needed to continue reading until the book was completed! As usual,E L James has given her readers exactly what we didn't realize we wanted!
