an unexpected favorite! I read this in about a day and I was absolutely gripped by this story. There are so many plot twists and it doesn't seem like what is happening could possibly be wrapped up in a satisfying way but somehow it's managed. In terms of the content, it feels grown up and real even though it is ya, which is why I liked this so much. My girlfriend recommended this to me for our reading challenge this year and I thought I wouldn't like it (there I go again judging books by their covers) but it was so good! Definitely excited to read more of this series, even though it can be read on its own.

I have loved the Mickey Bolitar trilogy ever since I listened to the audiobooks when I was 12. 

I reread it now that I'm 21 and it was just as perfect as it was back then. 

The characters are unique and unlike any others, I've read. The story is gripping and fascinating. Overall couldn't ask for anything better ☆☆☆☆☆
