Hundreds of tablets and fragments were found during the Deutsche Orient-Gesellschaft excavations at Tell-Fara in 1902-3. These, plus other tablets from clandestine excavations, provide a valuable reference source for the administration and organisation of the city, and include sale contracts (of fields and houses), records of produce and resources, and administrative archives. The tablets are presented by means of black and white photographs along with commentary and discussion.
