I found this book to be rather dull. I liked the premise of the story but I didn't like the writing.

I'm not a fan of purple prose, sometimes I like it and sometimes I don't. But I guess for me it depends a lot on the writer. In this case I didn't like the writing at all. It was a lot of telling and no showing.
I think this is what made the book boring for me. I didn't feel any of all the alleged emotions I was supposed to feel according to the back cover of the book. 

That said, I don't think it's a bad book. I did liked the story, but I wasn't entertained or moved by it.
