The architect Herwig Illmaier died at the age of 44. In 13 years he completed constructions such as the Augastensteg in Graz, Furstenfeld hospital, Graz-Andritz main square and St. Michael School in Graz. This monograph is not only a catalog of his works and unfinished projects, but also a commemorative publication offering documentation of the realized projects, essays on central themes in his architecture and personal observations made by his friends and colleagues.
