Okay, since I finished this whole series in one day, I’m just going to review the entire series (Hex Hall, Demon Glass, and Spell Bound) on this review.
Great series. Loved it. The characters were awesome, the plot was interesting, it was full of good conflict, and NONSTOP laughs. I really like that. Where a book can be deep and have a point and a romance but still a joke on every page. 
It was a really good series. Funny and awesome. (but if your dad yells at you whenever you laugh, I WOULDN'T recommend this series) 
and, to any fans of Alice in Wonderland out there (Gabie) if you make to the third book, it will be totally worth it, promise.
also, at some point within this series, (book 2, I think) the main character Sophie, complains about looking like an Evanescence Album Cover. I don't know about anyone else, But I'd DIE to look like an Evanescence Album Cover.

Great book, although not all great -_- 

I'll admit I shed a few tears, ok maybe more than a few. Actually I'm still sobbing so I'll end this here.

They say that all good things must come to an end and the Hex Hall series is no exception to this rule.

Hex Hall has been one of my favourite series for a while now and it's sad to see it all come to end. No more Archer and Sophie. That was one of my main grievances with the end of this series. I will miss the witty Archer and Sophie banter the most because it never failed to put a smile on my face after a glum day.

Sadly though, Spellbound wasn't the epic ending I had always imagined from the start. It all felt a bit...rushed. It was fast-paced but for me it just didn't flow the way book one did; it all felt a bit to choppy. Same goes for the humour, although it made me smile it felt a bit too forced on the characters parts.I know that in this book everyone was facing a possible demon apocalypse fair enough. 

Yet, the whole situation that everyone was in didn't have me on the end of my seat. I knew that in the end good would trump evil because that's what always happens in stories like this. 

One thing I would have liked was a better evil villain because, lets face it, Lara Casnoff was not really that bad. She did try to turn the entire Hex Hall student base into hellish demons but come on, she's no Voldemort (No ever will be.) I found that she wasn't as nefarious as she should have been and was really disorganized because what villain doesn't have a back-up plan. Thankfully here demise was timely and quick because her character was killing me, not in a good way. 

A lot of things bothered me about the ending of the series: Sophie seemed a bit less herself, Archer and Cal are still a huge mystery to me, I'm still a bit unclear of Lara's motives and intentions regarding her plans, no one mourned (view spoiler)[Cal (hide spoiler)] much and what on earth happened to the rest of the students after all the stuff had went down?

Even though I was left unfulfilled by the content I am sad to see this series go. When I look back on these titles I will filter out all the bad stuff and only remember the good.

Yep. I still love this series. It makes me happy to re-read it. I'll definitely be picking it up again!

Characters **** Yeah, call me crazy but I love these characters. I have so much affection for the core friend group (Sophie, Jenna, Archer, and Cal) it just kills me. They are like such sweet little babies and I want to protect them forever.

Cover **** If this cover didn't include the cat that DOES NOT EXIST at all in the story I'd have given it a 5. I LOVE how the cover reflects what actually happens in the story but again, that cat.

Pace ***** This one just FLOWED so well. I couldn't put it down. It was a huge struggle having to stop reading and go to work today. But somehow I managed.

Plot **** YES to the plot! It was so interesting watching everything from the previous two books come together to make the story line of this one work. There was just enough magic and plenty of evil to go around. The final battle broke my heart a little bit but other than that, I was good with the outcome. I think it happened the way it needed to, even if I don't want to admit that. This is one of those things were like, yeah, magic kind of was the easy out, but the differences in their magic had played such a difference throughout the series that it made sense that it happened the way it did.

Writing **** I like Hawkins' writing. I'll be looking for more of her books.

Enjoyment ***** This one gets a full 5. I read this book in less than 24 hours. It was just so much fun. I loved the world and the characters and just so many things about it.

Cry bonus * - ugh yeah, that scene in the final battle. If you've read it, you know which one I'm talking about. I'm still not emotionally ready for it and it already happened. 

Overall - YES TO THIS SERIES!!!! I've had a great time reading through the Hex Hall series. It's been a rollercoaster ride of magic and crushes and saving the world. Of the two of Hawkins' series I've read (this one and Rebel Belle) I highly prefer this one. Especially the ending.

This is a seriously underestimated series. I will really miss the characters and the world that Hawkins has created. I'm sad to see the doors of Hex Hall close but maybe I'll reread these books in a couple of years and experience the magic all over again.

I loved this series. I read the first 2 books in a few days and I finished this last book in a few hours because I just couldn't put it down. I loved the characters in this book, and how they interact with each other. Sophie is the main character and she has this cute attitude that I found very refreshing in a YA book. Of course there is lots of action and some great romance, but it is a clean well written book that I would recommended to anyone who loves YA adult books.
