First things first, this book was slow paced as hell. I was already getting bored and I'm not even halfway of the book. I like the plot, however, in my opinion, this was poorly executed. Another book of Alice Feeney's that has a lot of disturbing elements yet failed to put trigger warnings. I felt nauseous while trying to read the flashbacks from Anne's POV. Also, the plot twist does not make sense 🫩 ? I would've accepted it if Cat was the killer. But instead, she became a victim again?????????? Jesus Christ, the girl cant catch a break.

This is a truly mind-blowing psychological thriller that keeps reads on their toes for the entire book trying to work out who the “killer” is, and you don’t get the reveal until the very end! I was trying to guess as I was going but I didn’t even come close.

His – DCI Jack Harper, The Inspector who is assigned to the murder in Blackdown Woods. He is shocked when he sees the victim, he knows her, intimately. He has his own problems. He is generally bored with his job until the first girl is found murdered in Blackdown Woods! He will have lots of action to keep him busy for the next weeks and he will never be the same again.

There is a third POV, that of the killer. I paid attention to every word, and I was still unable to get the outcome!! Everyone is a suspect, everyone has motives.

I can’t say any more, but you won’t be able to stop reading this one, clear your day and your night! This author is a master of psychological fiction.

Another flop of a twist in my opinion.  There were so many twists that it felt like the one she ended on was there purely for shock factor and didn’t really make sense. The only thing that surprised me was that she didn’t have dementia

holy shit im once again falling into the habit of reading trashy books as a way to cope w the depressing reality of life. great! i think you can only like or fall in love w this book if this is ur intro to alice feeney me personally ive read rock, paper and scissors and think the ending was a complete snooze. the multiple suspects aspect also kinda bored me cos i dont like going back and forth bw trusting-not trusting a character more than twice too it kinda just tired me out by the time the actual killer was revealed

This was way more disturbing than I thought would be, but I liked the writing style because it kept me guessing who the liar is. The plot twist was unexpected, but somehow it didn’t make any sense? However, I still enjoyed the concept because it differentiates the plot from other mystery-thrillers that i’ve read so far.

I loved how this book had a plot twist in practically every chapter and the 3 different POVs-including the killer’s. The big reveal at the end was absolutely unexpected even when I thought I knew who it was.

Everyone in that book was a turd but not so unliekable that I didn't enjoy reading it, so it wasa good balance.

My thoughts on this book are limited. I thought the his/hers narrative style that Alice Feeney used was very enjoyable. This is because we as readers are continually guessing and trying to piece together clues and pieces that could ultimately prove Jack or Anna responsible for the murders. In addition, I enjoyed the mysterious, creepy, unidentified third voice/individual that occasionally appeared every few chapters. This added another layer of distrust, uneasiness, and wariness to the main characters, Anna and Jack. While I liked these aspects of the book, I found myself zoning out and uninterested in continuing to read it. This is especially true since most of the characters were downright unlikable, disturbing, and just plain odd.

I wasn't that surprised by the 'twists' (except the actual reveal of the mastermind behind the murders, which was convenient and a little strange), especially when we are introduced to one of Anna's old classmates, Catherine. The storyline and relevance of her character were predictable. Despite all this, the book is perfectly fine. 

This book isn't better than Rock, Paper, Scissors by Alice Feeney, as I love a domestic thriller/mystery, and, while the twists are ridiculously convenient, this is an adequate read if you're after a fast-paced, alternating dual POV adult thriller.

I lived the twists and turns this story took. It is double POV (3 really but you don’t know who the third POV is). I feel like a few things could’ve been different and there seems like there’s a few things that didn’t really get tied up nicely. Anyhow I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I was sure I knew who the murderer was about 3/4 of the way through the book, changed my mind 3 times and still didn't get it right. Alice Feeney is so good at misdirection. Loved this book!

Wow. This was SO good. I listened to the audiobook and that creepy voice gave me chills (which I love). I really liked sometimes I lie by Alice feeney but this was so much better. I highly recommend this for anyone that likes thrillers.
