I did not really relate to the author's persona, but still found a few useful things to take away. His take on finding purpose in a balanced life and creating a family culture when raising children were interesting new concepts.

The book contains interesting ideas however I think it’s targeted to an audience of parents (most of the chapters include insights regarding education and children). It was a nice listen though.

It felt a little jarring at first to see management practices applied to life, but I feel so much more grounded after reading this book. There’s a lot of wisdom to glean. 

I think I have a better sense of how Mike operates — and why he is so theory-driven. I bet he took classes with Clay Christensen at HBS. I also have a better sense of why he is so purposeful and values-driven; of course he would pick up a book like this one. I want to surround myself with people like him and Clay moving forward.

This book was quite a handful. 

Clayton M. Christensen is the person you'd expect the least to write a book about getting your shit together and grow, but whooop there it is. 

I read semi technical business books, that are more hands on or very thorough in their explanation/analysis of certain thing such as a company, a business model, a success or a failure. 

So I was very curious about this book. It doesn't dissappoint, doesn't change your life either but it feels like a nice reminder, like a nice breeze on a summer afternoon that makes you reflect how good you're having it. That fleeting sense of "bien être"that lingers for a few seconds. 

I loved the fact that he explained all his other business books (about 80% of each chapter) and then he applied it to areas of personal growth (the remaining 20%). I don't know if it ALL makes sense, but I kinda liked that I was getting a 2x1 combo: Business AND personal life advice in the same book!. I'm an solo founder so I enjoyed this book, but I'm quite sure this is not for everyone. But if you're already a fan of Innovators Dilemma and the Jobs to be Done paper, you'll certainly enjoy this, never hurts to pause and look at your life. 

**Also there are SO many chapters regarding parenting.... so if you don't have kids, might avoid this one til you do.

I generally stay away from self-help book, but I made an exception to this one. I am glad I did!! the author has literally pondered over every word written and come up with a book that will make you think and introspect. 
A very well written book which is capable of changing the way one thinks.
