Hunting Ground is the second book in the "Alpha and Omega" series and even though these books aren't necessarily five star reads ....I can't convey how much I am having a blast with these books. There is something about Anna and Charles that I am head over heels in love with. In Hunting Ground, our couple has been sent by the alpha to attend a special summit and one where there are dangers involved. There is a hidden enemy, and one that neither Charles or Anna will expect.

Seeing these two together "Practically honeymooners" going on this dangerous mission but becoming so united was so brilliant to see. And thankfully the intimate scenes were kept to a minimum. I really enjoyed how the author handled their relationship and blended it just right into the plot. It could have used a bit more romance time for them though. But y'all know that I just need my romantic feels. I did become so encouraged by this one here and what was built within this story. The author really SHOCKED me with that ending. Like WHAT????!!! How is that individual the villain? Yeah I have a feeling this won't be the last time that this author will take me on such a roller coaster.

Overall I had a blast with this one here and eager to continue to see what is up next.

One thing which annoyed me is that the summary gave away a plot point which happened much later in the book. That bothered me I expected it to happen far sooner and tool me out of the book.

Apart from that it was awesome. Charles and Anna are one of my favourite couples as they are unexpected and look as if they shouldn't go but are a perfect pair. We got more exploration of Charles's own hangups and saw Anna being the bad ass I know she can be. I loved it and didn't want to stop reading.

Bran has sent Anna and Charles to Seattle to meet with werewolves from everywhere. They are to discuss the werewolves coming out to humans. I guess discuss is the wrong word, as they have no say in the matter. The decision has been made. Even though the summit is for werewolves, some outsiders have decided to crash the party. I loved this book! I already loved Anna and Charles, but now I also love Angus, Tom, and Moira too. Great story!!

So this was a good story and I enjoyed seeing the pack dynamics from Europe as well as the fairies. I also really enjoyed switching main perspectives. I just wish there was a little more romance. However, the story/plot is well fleshed out. I especially enjoyed the bit of mixing Arthurian myths.

Anna is definitely my favorite character in this series. She has been through hell and back but never completely lost herself. She will sacrifice for her friends and will sacrifice anything for her mate.
