the parts that samantha king wrote were more enjoyable and thought provoking than the rh sin parts, but some still felt a bit preachy

reading rh sin’s poetry makes me think of insecure women who need appraisal and approval from men (and it’s ok to be in that space) but his writing is so “sorry men suck and women you are wonderful” in an art boy sort of way?? like 90% of his poetry focused too much on that and i found it uncomfy and annoying. the few poems that he wrote about HIS own life were nicer. and more authentic!

Largely a journey through a bad relationship. Lots of the poems speak to not giving more of yourself than another deserves and that resonated with me beyond the confines of a romantic relationship. Quite a quick read, but with lots of strong poems.
