I loved Give a Mouse a Cookie and Give a Pig a Party but this one was probably my favorite of all when I was younger and I still love it now! The cutest story <3

If You Give a Moose a Muffin is the second in the If You Give a... series. Here it's a moose wanting a muffin. The moose shows up in later books such as If You Give a Pig a Party.

Like the others in the series the book uses circular reasoning. It starts with the absurd notion of giving a moose a muffin (inside a house, no less) and ends up there. In between there is messy jam, puppet shows, borrowed sweaters and a host of other silly things.

My kids adore this series although I think my oldest is starting to out grow it. I expect though I have a few more years of reading them with Harriet who loves all the different animals. Her two favorites are the cat and the moose. My son's two favorites were the pig and the mouse. So that's pretty much everyone covered.

Another excellent throwback read for me!

I used to binge Goosebumps like they were the only books available on Earth. They are spooky, quick paced, and just all around fun. 

In this book, Gabe, his cousin Sari, Sari's Dad and a lot of other adventurers are on an expedition. There's a Mummy's tomb they want to open and see what's inside. But there's a traitor in their mix that is going to mess with this Mummy...

This book was fun and fast paced! Each little cliffhanger, twist and turn was packed full of fun and made it super enjoyable for me. I ended up binging the whole book because it was just so fun! It's not scary to me as an adult, but it did have me on the edge of my seat. I can easily see young horror lovers grabbing this book. It's definitely one of my more favourite Goosebumps books.

FYI - this is the sequel to The Curse of the Mummy, but you can easily pick this book up without reading the last book.

Oh hey, a Goosebumps sequel that has nothing to do with the original book! How... par for the course for this series. Gabe's parents have sent him back to chill with his archaeologist uncle because Goosebumps parents are always absent or neglectful. His obnoxious cousin still exists, and this time there's an actual mummy! The book reads like it's a bit too inspired to by Mummy movies that were out around this time for my taste (unless it was the other way around. But these are common, overdone plots so it doesn't really matter). I honestly can't remember much of the plot, so that should tell you how memorable it is. At least there's an actual monster this time though?
