Examines Palestinian history and covers the Ottomans in the 1800s, the reign of Muhammad Ali, the coming of the early Zionists, the British mandate, the creation of the state of Israel in 1948, and the intifadas of 1987 and 2000.

I don't think this book was meant for someone who doesn’t have a lot of background knowledge in the history and culture of the region, since it often glosses over important events assuming everyone knows about it. Still enjoyng the read and I hope to be more informed
