Finally, a 5 star book! I LOVED this novel that I felt badly for reading it so quickly, yet I just couldn't put it down. Jessie is just such a great character - smart, thoughtful and a snappy dresser (I loved her wacky homemade skirts!). After she realizes how lame her friends are, she tests the waters with an affable and friendly nerd-herd (her brother's term of endearment) and how she navigates those d&d playing waters is refreshing. In the end, she discovers more about herself, her friends and family and I was seriously charmed.

This book was so cute! It was simple yet entertaining, and very relateable because I am a nerd too. The author used a lot of parentheses but I think it added to the voice of the main character. She was likeable and you rooted for her throughout the novel. I really recommend this book because of its wit and charm! :)
