OMW what a great prequel - a chance to see Herod before he became the villain!

Immerse yourself in the 19th century Ton and hobnob with the snobby rich folk, to whom appearances and connections are all important. Roderick (aka Herod) is not a hero by any stretch of the imagination but when it comes to Arabella...well he's infatuated.

Arabella is part of the elite world but with a very modern attitude, she won't settle for less than love - no matter how much money her intended suitors have. But when she begins her romance with Roderick, she'll fall fast from the elite world!

This was an astonishingly detailed and vivid glimpse into a bygone time. The attention detail was superb and as a Scot, I totally loved the setting LOL. This story gave us a chance to peep into the circumstances that make Herod cement himself as the villain and how a certain Cynn Cruor came to be. I couldn't help feeling Arabella's pain as her family disowned her due to her "fall". Superb writing!
