I’m not sure what to think about this but on to the second book I go

This was one of those books that you wanted to dislike.. but became oddly addicted to instead. 
I would have given a Higher rating if the students weren’t 15 years old!

There is basically zero romance in the book (except Lips liking few boys despite what they do to her, and one kiss), but I heard that payback in next books would be good. 
Characters are supposed to be 15-18 y.o, but I imagined them at their early twenties.

Omg I could kick myself for waiting so long to read this. I am
absolutely hooked.

I love a good bully book. Lips takes a lot of bullying from all
sides but refuses to let it break her. She's stronger than they
know. She only gives them a small glimpse into who she
really is.

At the beginning of this book I found myself hating all the
characters. They're all just spoiled rich kids right? NOPE!
We're really getting to know the backgrounds of everyone.
Avery is growing on me. I think I'm in love with Harley.
Jury's still out in Ash. I'm kind of neutral about Blaise at
the moment. Joey? A fiery end would be nice.

For some reason it didn't register in my head that this book had TEENAGERS in it. So that made it hard to relate to at points, I'm 30. However, the MC is badass. I love the way she is written. She is a take no shit, strong girl who isn't being pushed around. She is slowly being built upon and deepened and I am really enjoying her story. There wasn't any *spice*, which I REALLY APPRECIATE seeing as they are 15 in this book. Slow burn, for sure. Wasn't sure I'd continue reading this series, but the main character had me instantly downloading the next one!

First things first, the MCs name is Lips and that made me laugh every single time. All the way through the end of book 4 lol. 

This book is a Bully Reverse Harem even though, there's actually no romance in this first book. It's more along the lines of lust. At first, I wasn't sure if I liked that but as I kept going through the books, I realized that not having romance in the first book was SUCH a good strategy. 

The reason I decided with 4 stars is that as much as I loved the story, I just could not picture them as 15-year-old freshmen. I do realize that every book is one year of high school but I had to picture them as 18+ for the first one and a half books. 

That being said, Lips is much more than just a troubled teen trying to do better. After being sponsored by some mysterious a** dude (at first lol), she worked her way up the ranks in a criminal underworld. Being known as the Wolf has a lot of benefits outside of school. But inside the walls of Hannaford prep, she has to deal with 4 bullies. 

In this first book, I will admit that I wasn't really a fan of the guys as love interests--oh baby, just you wait-- but were really good characters other than that. The 4th bully is Ash's (one of the guys) twin sister, Avery, and is the main bully in book 1. 

This first book was fun and honestly, very funky fresh (not in context though. This series is dark and has many many many triggers) and I really enjoyed it. It's been a while since I've read an RH about a criminal underworld and I need more asap!
