Not the best of the series

I feel like this was rushed, I would have liked a better ending. There should have been a battle scene and not just discovering what she discovered. * don't want to spoil anything *

This book jumped the shark. It just got too weird and ridiculous. The previous books were great, and I'll probably listen to the fourth which about a side character, but this book ruined Mercy for me. 
Still, it was a free listen so that's worth something, and the narrator is great.

I received a copy of The Void from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

These books need to be read in order. This is the 3rd book in the Witching Savannah series. It picks up where the last one left off and I think it is a better read than the previous in the series. I was a bit wary when I began because I didn’t like book 2 as much as book 1. Thirteen families started The Line. Mercy’s family is one of the families that began The Line. She suffers and struggles with the loss of the people that mean the most to her. Mercy is a strong woman and she works through her tribulations to make her way in life. She is seen as a burden by the other anchors and they work against her efforts. 

This book would have been a solid 4 stars for me but in the middle of the book I began getting bored. It didn’t last too long but I was tempted to read something else. Luckily the slower section didn’t last too long and I was able to get back into the story. I do still feel an attachment to the series. It’s just harder to understand the true point of a character if they are gone before you know much about them.
