It isn't that good a book. The further I got into it, the more I found myself hating it and willing it to end. The recipes are a nice touch, and I did love Grace's character, but beyond that it was dull and flat.

4.5 stars. It was so close to a 5 star but the last part really threw me off. It should've ended with just that part with Grace and beth should be out of the way lol. 

It was so nice to watch Grace's growth and development. Of how she went from a "depressed" and "feeling like a scared little girl" to being a decisive, confident woman who knows what she deserves. 

This book also did a very good job depicting how it feels like to have depression and it made me feel so much for Grace even though I have personally never had depression. Also, Patrick is a sweetheart <3 
Overall, the book is an intense and enjoyable read that I might pick up again in the future!

A beautiful rich woman with her own dark secrets hires unassuming mousy assistant to help manage her mercurial husband. Of course, the savior assistant soon turns out to be a master manipulator. 

Jane Green's fans will find this a bit darker than her normal fare. I personally felt I'd heard this story before, and didn't find much new territory explored. I basically skimmed the text to find out how it ended up.

However, I"m sure this will be popular with library patrons.
