This couple comes together in the most unexpected of places. Claire is a psychologist and her first patient is an inmate. Constantine was wrongfully put in jail and he wants revenge on who did it. 

I enjoyed the mafia aspect of this story & how STEAMY IT WAS. I have honestly never read a book quite like this one. Constantine was all alpha, domineering and possessive. Claire seems naive at first put smart and well put together. Two people who’s world should’ve never collided make a perfect pair. This book was very fast paced but not rushed and I felt like it wasn’t missing any details while still giving the reader what they wanted and needed.

Enjoyable mafia romance with BDSM elements. FMC was excellently written, great arc and development. Plot was nice but not as good as Lark's other works.

Since writing my original review, I have reread this book three times. It's 4.75/5, the only reason it's not 5/5 is because the FMC is, once again, "pale" when she doesn't have to be! Why are all mafia romance FMCs white???

I am torn. I am not even sure why I read this book looking at the cover..
The writing style is not good but I like the first 50% of the story.
But everytime I read "rapid fire russian" I wanted to throw my tablet. Mentioning it once or twice, ok but all the time? And I get it Dimitri is like a father.. no need to mention that every time Dimitri shows up.
The talking and thinking of the characters is just over the top.
