Janet Evanovich rarely disappoints. This series has been a bit back burnered as she's worked on others, but I think it is one of the most promising. Lizzy and Diesel have to find seven stones, that is seven stories. Seven stories to build characters, relationships, and hopefully resolve Lizzy and Diesel. The cast of characters are also different than her other stories, also a good thing. And while some elements of her story have more than a passing familiarity to Plum or even Fox and O'Hare, the other elements smooth it out and make it just special enough to be it's own. This third adventure felt like it found it's feet. And while I like Lizzy and Diesel, it would be nice to have a wrap up one way or another at the end of seven stories, rather than a prolonged will they or won't they.
