February 19, 2018: What I enjoy about Doctor Strange is that he's not your typical tights-wearing superhero. He deals in mystical arts, travels through astral planes, and navigates environments not unlike mind-boggling creations of M. C. Escher. In this story, however, Strange falls into a typical superhero plot trap: he is put up against an incredibly powerful being capable of killing off even the most gifted sorcerers. You just know he has no choice but to get his ass kicked, go through personal growth, upgrade his abilities, and then defeat evil. I'll have to read a bit further to see if I like this turn of events. Gorgeous art though.
