this was very strange. this book took a little bit for me to get into the writing style but after about forty pages in i could not put it down. what a weird little book about the relationship between two siblings, their caustic imaginations, and their addiction. strangely beautiful, reminded me of a much tamer blue velvet or something else out of david lynch’s wheelhouse.

           all i have to say is ... paul and elisabeth are truly enfants terribles ha ha damn ...

and is it just me or were there a lot of erotically charged scenes between them ? despite them not really doing that stuff but yikes

it’s really interesting though, how elisabeth hated the whole thing between paul and agatha, i felt like thats where a lot of the sexual undertones were from ... if that makes any sense
