If you like "Into the Wild" by Krakauer or "Wild" by Strayed, this is a wonderful book for kids that follows the same theme. I really enjoyed this quick read and I think young boys who are interested in nature or living off the land would enjoy it too. 

I docked one star because the ending was abrupt and kind of disappointing. I would have liked to see it end differently or more elaborately than it did.
