Since Beauty and the Beast is one of my favourite animated movies I thought I'd give the original story a go. It was a quick, simple tale that was a bit different from the movie, but it's nice to see what the original was.

Beauty and the Beast is an earlier version of the Disney fairytale. Personally, I prefer the Disney version, it just has more potential. The length of it probably is a big reason for this, how can you put a love story in such few pages. It isn't a love story, that's how you can. This story is a find-a-kinda-good-husband-and-marry-him story. 
It was OK, but nothing special.

I've just seen the movie and I must say I'm pleased to see that the movie has taken some details from the original book whereas the cartoon didn't.
